Seminole Heights Scavenger Hunt

shf-scavengerhunt-web1The Seminole Heights Foundation is pleased to announce an event that allows you to explore Seminole Heights and raise money at the same time. The Hunt is schedule for Saturday, November 21, 2009. Registration will begin at 3:30pm. The starting location for the Seminole Heights Foundation Scavenger Hunt will be at Ellas American Folk Art Cafe (5119 N. Nebraska, Tampa).

Teams of 4-6 people can register to participate, the donation to participate is $50.00 per team. We have selected 15 locations for the teams to hunt for in the Seminole Heights area. After completing registration, each team will be given a clue to find their first location. Once that location has been ‘found’, the team will receive a clue for the next location and the process will continue until all 15 locations have been found. The team that finds all 15 locations in the best time will win the prize. Mark your calendars to join the fun - Saturday, November 21. All proceeds will benefit the Seminole Heights Foundation.

    We have been contacted by several people who are looking to join a team. We will organize teams on Saturday to make sure everyone has a chance to participate. Just come to Ellas prepared to have a blast and meet some new people while learning more about Seminole Heights.

    These were the clues, see if you can identify the locations. All locations are within the Seminole Heights borders.

    1. Only house in SESH on the National Historic Register. Built in 1906 by Nurseryman William Curtis. West from Reservations To Go side street. Bring your wooden shoes.

    2. Has been delivering for more than a century at times in a tuxedo and more recently with Lightning Bolt speed.
